YORK COUNTY, S.C. – The York County Veterans' Affairs Office along with numerous organizations are helping homeless Veterans in our community have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays.

The York County VA has a partnership with the Church of Christ -- Basket of Blessings, and countless other organizations. The Rock Hill Elk's Lodge 1318 donated five meals each for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The meals were complete with a turkey or ham, and all of the traditional fixings.  With the help of local Veterans Organizations, who provide both food and grocery cards, collectively the groups have made a huge difference in a year riddled with fear and challenges.

In partnership with Pathways, the York County VA will also make a very large donation of socks, t-shirts, coats, hats, scarves and gloves to the Men's and Women's shelters, and The Haven and Pilgrim's Inn.  These shelters house our homeless Veterans until they can be placed in transitional and long-term housing.
