Bring your old tattered and torn flags and witness the official burning and burial of YOUR OLD GLORY, may she rest in Peace.

Douglas J. (Doug) Greenlaw and fellow Combat wounded Veterans are hosting an Upstate Flag Retirement Ceremony on Memorial Day this month on Monday, May 30.  "Most of the general public has no idea what to do with their tattered and torn old US Flags. They hate the idea of throwing them away. Old Glory remains at home in wait.

The US Flag Ceremony (proper burning and burial, Military style) will take place at the Greenville Downtown Airport off Pleasantburg Drive on Memorial Day from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. We expect 1000-5000 Greenville resident Patriots to show up with old US flags in hand to be destroyed.  We plan on inviting the entire population of the City of Greenville with the help of local media’s participation in getting the word out."    FREE ADMISSION.

This ceremony is to mark the successful replacement of the oldest Vietnam War memorial marker in the state. Their effort brought forward a state order to move the monument to its new location.
