Brandon Wilson

Brandon C. Wilson is the Director of Public Information for the South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs. Brandon joined the team in May of 2020, after having spent nearly a decade at WIS News 10 in Columbia, South Carolina.

Brandon is a 3-time Emmy Award winning Executive Producer with nearly 15 years of experience covering journalism throughout the Palmetto State. A proven, distinguished leader in several South Carolina newsrooms, he is now the leading champion of the growing Office of Public Information.

Brandon is a graduate of Hampton University and is passionate about community service and advocacy. His mission is to be an ambassador for the South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs bringing education and awareness to issues most important to our state’s Veterans and active-duty service members.
