COLUMBIA, SC (SCDVA) - Military Commanders of South Carolina's eight military installations and Fort Gordon, Georgia provided updates to Governor Henry McMaster, SCDVA Secretary Todd B. McCaffrey, and Speaker of the House, Murrel Smith during the annual Commanders Brief to the Governor. The event was held Wednesday, September 23rd.

Commanders briefed the Governor on critical issues affecting military families and operations in South Carolina. The briefing is designed to foster collaboration between military leaders and state officials to address these vital concerns and ensure South Carolina remains a top destination for service members and their families.

• Fort Gordon- Major General Ryan Janovic, Commanding General
• Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island- Colonel Richard (Clark) Mitchell, G-3
