COLUMBIA, SC (SCDVA) - Military Commanders of South Carolina's eight military installations and Fort Gordon, Georgia will provide updates to Governor Henry McMaster, SCDVA Secretary Todd B. McCaffrey, and Speaker of the House, Murrel Smith during the annual Commanders Brief to the Governor.

Commanders will brief on critical issues affecting military families and operations in South Carolina. The briefing is designed to foster collaboration between military leaders and state officials to address these vital concerns and ensure South Carolina remains a top destination for service members and their families. 

Secretary Todd B. McCaffrey will lead the discussion with the following military installation leaders:

• Shaw Air Force Base- Colonel Hugh Walker, Commander
• Fort Gordon- Major General Ryan Janovic, Commanding General
• Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) Parris Island- Colonel Richard (Clark) Mitchell, G-3
• Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort- Colonel Trevor Felter, Commander
• Beaufort Naval Hospital- Captain Juan Rosario, Commander
• Joint Base Lindsey Graham- Captain Jason Anderson, Deputy Commander
• Coast Guard Charleston- Captain Shaw Lansing, Sector Commander
• Fort Jackson- Major General Daryl Hood, Commanding General
• National Guard- Major General Rob Stilwell Adjutant General
