DHEC partnership with SCDVA

COLUMBIA, SC (SCDVA)-SCDVA and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) has teamed up to highlight key employment opportunities for Veterans across the state. Positions available to Veterans within DHEC are within the organizations four core divisions: environmental affairs, health care quality, public health and support services. DHEC employs more than 3800 employees who work in a wide range of professions including nurses, physicians, nutritionists, lab technicians, administrators, program managers, communications professionals and more.

First of all South Carolina is a Veteran-friendly state and offers a lot of benefits to be an employee here in the state of South Carolina as a Veteran," said DHEC Chief Human Resources Officer Marcus Robinson. "Here at DHEC we have a Veteran preference in our hiring. We make sure that our Veterans have a priority to get an interview for a job."

SCDVA's Senior Operations Coordinator Al Taylor has a background in workforce development is dedicated to helping Veterans in the community land the careers they deserve following their transition from military service.
