Washington, DC (SCDVA) - The South Carolina Department of Veterans’ Affairs (SCDVA) participated in the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP) 'ENGAGE 2026' Partner Meeting, continuing the agency’s involvement in efforts to support military spouse employment and workforce development.

SCDVA first joined MSEP in 2025 and returned this year to receive updates on program initiatives and priorities. Deputy Director of Military Affairs Jason Fowler attended last year's event on behalf of SCDVA and conducted the ceremonial signing. This year he returned representing the agency as an Enduring Partner of the Military Spouse Employment Partnership

MSEP Engage 2026While attending the event, Fowler participated in multiple sessions, including the U.S. Department of Defense Annual MSEP Meeting; Career Accelerator Program sessions focused on workforce integration; collaborative recruitment discussions among MSEP partners; sessions on creating career opportunities for military spouses; military spouse impact case studies; and briefings on the use of artificial intelligence in military spouse talent sourcing. He also received the Call to Action from the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense’s Office of Family and Community Policy.

"I experienced riveting sessions filled with testimony and examples of how to put the MSEP experience into practice in our military communities. Military Spouses present a wealth of education, skills, knowledge, experience and resilience that will benefit any employer," said Fowler.MSEP Engage 2026
