Resource Management Officer

Fanta ColemanFanta F. Coleman joined the South Carolina Department of Veterans' Affairs as the Resource Management Officer in November 2021 and is a 14-year veteran of South Carolina State Government.   

Fanta is a native of Ohio and a proud daughter and granddaughter of U.S. Army Veterans. Having a grandfather who was a Vietnam Veteran and a father who is a Veteran of the Gulf War, her passion for supporting this community is undeniable. She was educated in the Lexington-Richland Five School District and has earned college credit at both the University of South Carolina as well as Strayer University.

Her career has maintained a fiscal focus honing her skills in preparation for this moment of service. With a passion for, and connection to the state’s military community, she is proud to use her experience to manage the agency’s budget.
