Alford C. Taylor joined the South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs' as the Workforce Development Coordinator in October 2021, and now serves as the Senior Operations Coordinator. Prior to joining our team, he served six years as the Local Veteran Employment Representative and Business Consultant at the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, in Columbia from February 2016 to September 2021.

Taylor is a native of Darlington, South Carolina where he attended and graduated from St. Johns High School. He served in the United States Army for 22 years, before retiring in May 2009.

Taylor has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Limestone College, and a Master’s degree in Management and Leadership from Webster University.
