The U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs (USDVA) and the South Carolina Department of Veterans' Affairs (SCDVA) mission is to provide benefits and services to Veterans and their families in a responsive, timely and compassionate manner in recognition of their service to our Nation. Veterans and their dependents may be eligible for various benefits administered by the USDVA.
SCDVA and County Veterans' Affairs Officers throughout the state of South Carolina are available to help Veterans and their families file claims and in some cases assist with claims review and representation for appeals services. It is highly recommended that a Veteran complete a claim with the assistance of a Veteran's representative.

SCDVA staff at the Columbia VA Regional Office can assist Veterans and their families in obtaining benefits through reviewing incoming claims from County Veterans' Affairs Offices and providing appeals representation for claims. Office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
