PRESS RELEASE FROM WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA

COLUMBIA, S.C. - The 13th Annual Wreaths Across America Ceremony at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery will be held at noon on Saturday, December 18, 2021.  We invite you to join us in Remembering and Honoring our Veterans past and present. For the last 13 years, the Midlands Community has answered the call and come together to sponsor the memorial wreaths and help place them at every grave site at the cemetery.  Thank you for your continued support and we are hoping you can help us achieve that goal again this year.

The cemetery is growing rapidly. It is averaging 125+ burials a month right now and the numbers are still growing. This year, the estimated number of wreaths needed, as of 08/28/2021, was 10,750 at a cost of $161,250. These numbers will go up by December to approximately 11,500 wreaths at a cost of approximately $172,500. 

The individual cost per wreath is $15.00.  Any help you can give us will be most appreciated. There are two ways you can purchase a wreath. 

1.) Fill out the attached form, attach a check and mail to the address on the form.

With these options, for every two wreaths you sponsor, the Cemetery will receive a third wreath FREE.
